Action-adventure sequel A Plague Tale: Requiem sees protagonists Amicia and Hugo journey through a bleak, supernatural 14th Century France as they evade capture from the French Inquisition. Requiem was developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment.

To celebrate the release of A Plague Tale: Requiem, Microsoft asked our North-American team to create a custom PC that would promote the game’s release for Xbox and Windows platforms, and that could be won as a prize in its Rewards Sweepstakes.

Using a newly-built PC with powerful custom specs as a base, our team worked to create a tower skin with a ruthless-looking case that would immerse the owner in Requiem’s dark, brutal world. The base of the case was coated in jet-black paint, while our art team set about creating by hand very fine ‘veins’ to the outside of the tower. The veins – also painted black – represent the Prima Macula within Hugo’s bloodstream that allows him to control rats in-game. These details were complemented by a large etching of a plague-carrying rat on the side, with 3D-printed rat and logo also featured on the case’s front. Our custom build was created and finished entirely by hand, was popular amongst fans on social media, and was a highly-coveted prize on Microsoft Rewards.
